Changing Industry Requires New Skills

Because of effects of globalization, the rise of non-traditional male/female gender roles, and the need for more workforce at the trade level and management level, the industry is starting to shift.  The industry must openly welcome minorities, women, people with disabilities, people with different ethnicities, people with different religious beliefs, older people, and people that identify themselves as LGBT into the industry.  Aside from financial returns, diversity can impact the overall performance by making collective judgements.  Companies seek to embrace differences and create environments which promote diversity and inclusion but they don't know how to go about it.  Does this sound like you?

In this course, you will learn the definitions of diversity and inclusion, the practical business case for diversity and inclusion, how to identify you own biases both conscious and unconscious, the physiology behind human interactions, and practical steps for you and your company to take to incorporate more diversity and inclusion in your organizations and on your projects.  This course will take you beyond EEO compliance and the avoidance of lawsuits.  The course gets at the heart of the matter and endeavors to create true behavioral shifts to create a more diverse and inclusive industry.
