Stand Down Programs


AGC Georgia member firms have several opportunities each year to participate in organized safety stand downs designed to reinforce and focus attention on the importance of safe practices on the work site. These stand downs provide each company with an opportunity to communicate your safety message, goals and expectations on this topic to all levels of the construction team, especially field personnel and subcontractors working on your job sites.

Our association has hosted dozens of stand downs to date since the first one convened in 2008. These stand downs have the full support of OSHA and CompTrust AGC Mutual Captive Insurance Company (MCIC), AGC Georgia's workers' compensation program. We are proud of the fact that this proactive safety program has reached hundreds of thousands of construction industry personnel throughout Georgia and across the country on remote job sites of our member firms.
