Located in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area, The Associated General Contractors of America (known as AGC of America) is a membership organization operating in partnership with its nationwide network of 89 chartered chapters, including AGC Georgia. AGC of America is the leading association and spokesperson for the construction industry representing more than 26,000 firms including 6,500 of America’s leading general contractors and over 9,000 specialty contracting firms. AGC continues to lead the construction industry in economic reporting by Chief Economist Ken Simonson. Simonson serves as a trusted expert on the economic state of our industry as he conducts hundreds of media interviews each year. 

The AGC of America emblem is accepted by engineers, architects, public officials and others as a mark of distinction of the Skill, Integrity and Responsibility demonstrated by the contractor displaying it. Every AGC member in good standing is entitled to display their membership classification’s respective emblem of the association which is registered with the United States Patent Office. Displaying an emblem is a significant business asset for all AGC members and enhances a firm’s reputation in the marketplace.
