. . . focuses on maximizing the leadership potential of young industry professionals to benefit them personally, as well as their sponsoring company, the AGC Association, and the construction industry.

Young Leadership Program

Both the construction industry in Georgia and AGC Georgia has prospered over the years as a result of strong leaders. To ensure an equally successful future, it is imperative for the next generation of construction leaders to properly prepare themselves for the challenges and new opportunities that lie ahead.

With this in mind, members and industry leaders consider the Chapter’s Young Leadership Program (YLP) one of the most valuable and important services offered.  It is an opportunity for you and your firm’s young people to cultivate leadership potential, develop stronger leadership skills and techniques, learn more about the AGC organization, network with other young construction professionals, and begin developing life-long industry relationships.

YLP is also the community service and charitable-giving arm of the Chapter whose members often spearhead major fund raising initiatives and volunteer their construction expertise. Their efforts result in supporting numerous worthy causes and organizations benefiting local children, families and veterans.

Each year since YLP was founded in 1996, the program attracts the best and brightest young professionals from around the state. Currently, over 70 member firms and more than 120 individuals participate. The group is comprised of a cross section of all types of professionals including office and field personnel.

YLP plans, organizes and hosts a series of FREE professional development Roundtable Forums for its members, and other Chapter members are welcome to attend.

Members receive discounts on training classes and reduced or complimentary fees to attend select programs and events, eg. Annual Convention, Fall Leadership Conference, and more.

Make an investment in your, your company's, and our association’s futures, as well as the future of Georgia’s commercial construction industry by getting involved!
