In 2024, student competitors from "Home" region schools for this event have the option to participate in the following categories that will be a part of the Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge.

  • Blueprint Reading
  • Broadcast News Production
  • Cabinetmaking - in-classroom project brought to Skills Challenge for judging
  • Carpentry
  • Construction Career Displays
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Masonry
  • Plumbing
  • **TeamWorks - includes framing pre-fab work to be completed in-classroom and brought to Skills Challenge
  • Welding
  • *** Welding Fabrication - in-classroom project brought to Skills Challenge for judging

 Students with confirmed SkillsUSA membership by October 4, 2024 and place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in these competitions at the Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge will advance to the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference. 

**  The top scoring four-person team with all members holding confirmed SkillsUSA membership by October 4, 2024 will advance to the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference. 

*** Only three-person teams with all members holding confirmed membership in SkillsUSA by October 4, 2024 are invited to participate in Welding Fabrication. The top placing team in this competition at the Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge event will advance to SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference.
