In 2025, student competitors from "Home" region schools for this event have the option to participate in the following categories that will be a part of the Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge.

- Broadcast News Production
- * Cabinetmaking - in-classroom project brought to Skills Challenge for judging
- * Carpentry
- Construction Career Displays
- * Electrical
- Heavy Equipment Operation
- HVAC
- * Masonry
- * Plumbing
- **TeamWorks - includes framing pre-fab work to be completed in-classroom and brought to Skills Challenge
- * Welding
- *** Welding Fabrication - in-classroom project brought to Skills Challenge for judging
* Students with confirmed SkillsUSA membership and place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in these competitions at the Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge will advance to the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference.
** Only four-person teams with all members holding confirmed membership in SkillsUSA are invited to participate in TeamWorks. The top scoring team will advance to the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference.
*** Only three-person teams with all members holding confirmed membership in SkillsUSA are invited to participate in Welding Fabrication. The top placing team in this competition at the Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge event will advance to SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference.
