The below information is from the 2022 Fall Leadership Conference. We will begin providing information for the 2023 event late in the summer of 2023. For a general idea of the schedule of events and types of activities, please see below. The 2023 program will following a similar schedule.

You and your guests are invited to join us in beautiful Pinehurst, NC for AGC Georgia's Fall Leadership Conference. This annual conference brings members together for learning, recreation, socializing and fun you don't want to miss!

We are excited to offer leadership development seminars on the mornings of October 14 and 15. These programs are designed to provide valuable insights and practical tools to enhance your leadership effectiveness as both a team leader and team member. Afternoons during the conference are open for you to take advantage of area activities. On Saturday afternoon, join us to cheer on your favorite college football team on the big screens during our football party! Members attending this conference in the past tell us they most enjoy connecting with other industry professionals in a comfortable, relaxed setting.

Rooms at Pinehurst Resort start at $339. | Our rate ends on September 12, 2022 or when the contracted room block is filled, whichever comes first.

• Rate is honored based on availability.

If you have any problems booking your hotel room for the conference please reach out to Machell Harper at harper@agcga.org or 678-298-4108. Once our room block is sold out, she'll hold a wait list. There is no guarantee a room will become available, after the block sells out, but if you'd like to be put on a wait list, Machell can help you.

Survival Skills for Leaders in Interesting Times

Then, we’ll discuss How to Create a Cult-Like Following for Your Organization. Company culture is a hot buzzword, but what does it really mean?  The words culture and cult share a common origin - with meanings ranging from cultivation to training to worship.  While we're not necessarily going to talk about getting your employees to worship you, we will talk about what makes them show up, give 100 percent, and lure (I mean recruit) other employees. We'll discuss 7 thought provoking ideas from cults (yes, cults!) and how they can be applied at your company.

We’ll also touch on creating a cult-like following with your customers.

The Learning Outcomes:

1. List seven features of cults that can help with employee engagement and retention
2. Develop specific ideas for applying the seven features at your company
3. Avoid the mistakes cults make resulting in member (employee) disillusionment
