Prior to the Marketplace, AGC of America’s Jimmy Christianson, Vice President, Government Relations will present The Good, The Bad and the Ugly: A Construction Industry Insider Update from Washington, D.C. 

Believe it or not, there’s both good and bad news for the construction industry coming from D.C. In 2020, AGC of America and its chapters worked to successfully make and keep construction essential in most of the country, fought for the industry’s eligibility for Paycheck Protection Program loans, PPP loan deductibility and timely loan forgiveness, and additional resources for infrastructure investment. But 2021 has brought new leadership to D.C., and with it, new opportunities and challenges. Jimmy will share how the sausage is being made when it comes to federal COVID-19 vaccine and testing mandates, the $1.2 trillion bipartisan (physical) infrastructure bill, and the ~$3.5 trillion human infrastructure bill, and other policies potentially impacting the construction industry out of Washington.
