Class will be held the following dates:
Thursdays and Fridays | November 7 & 8 and 14 & 15
7:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
Many owners and prime contractors require completion of this course prior to working on certain projects.
Through live instruction by seasoned construction professionals, participants will learn how to recognize construction hazards, avoidance, control, and prevention.
Learning Objectives Include:
- Introduction to OSHA
- Managing Safety and Health
- OSHA Focus Four Hazards (Falls, Caught In-between, Struck-by, and Electrical)
- Other Industry Specific Topics, ie. cranes, scaffolds, material handling, and concrete/masonry
Upon successful course completion, attendees receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Course card. The card is issued by the Georgia Tech Outreach Training Institute and is typically available 3-4 weeks after the course concludes.
AGC Georgia reserves the right to cancel programs up to 7 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
Meet Your Instructor: Philip Greisen, CIT, CHST
Philip is a vice president and senior consultant for PROSAFE Solutions, Inc. and a seasoned safety professional who enjoys sharing industry knowledge through classroom instruction. He is a Certified Industrial Trainer (CIT) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). Philip is also a certified John Maxwell Leadership Trainer and Coach.
Philip serves as course director and adjunct faculty for several OSHA Training Institute courses at Georgia Tech including the OSHA 510, OSHA 500 (trainer course), OSHA 3015 Excavation and Soil Mechanics course, and the OSHA 502 update course. He also developed and instructs the EST 7139 Foundations of Safety Leadership course.
