Safety Leadership Development Part I
View Flyer
Class Will Be Held: Friday, November 1, 2024 | 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Leadership development is vital to every aspect of organizational performance and is critical to the development of high-performance safety culture. However, many managers have never been taught how to lead the safety effort.
To achieve safety excellence, leaders must exhibit specific traits and involve themselves in activities that demonstrate commitment to safety as a core value. This course explores known principles of effective safety leadership. Special emphasis is placed on transformational leadership styles, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, coaching, and change management specific to creating a culture of safety excellence.
This course provided both lecture and active workshops to help anchor the principles into real life workplace application.
Participants learn concepts in the following areas to enhance their skills:
1. How to increase employee engagement and buy-in.
2. Managing the emotional element of change initiatives.
3. Improved team building skills.
4. The fours layers of verbal communication to enhance understanding.
5. How to achieve high levels of performance through feedback and reinforcement.
6. Transformational coaching concepts.
AGC Georgia reserves the right to cancel programs up to 7 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
