Exit Options for Business Owners (Lunch and Learn)
View Flyer
As a business owner, how do you know if you are ready for an exit? The first step is learning about the process of transitioning a business and identifying the exit option(s) that best align your personal, financial, and business goals. Come join Eric Worrell, a Certified Exit Planning Advisor and Certified Financial Planning Professional, for an educational presentational that explores exit readiness and exit options for business owners. During our time together, Eric will discuss the following:
Key Topics
How to prepare yourself, your family, and your business for an exit
How to determine business valuation
How to calculate an owner's wealth gap
Pros and cons of internal exit options, such as: intergenerational transfers, management buyout, and ESOP
Pros and cons of external exit options, such as: sale to third party, recapitalization, and orderly liquidation
Meet Your Presenter - Eric Worrell, Managing Director - Investment Officer, Wells Fargo Advisors
Eric had served as a financial advisor to a select group of families, individuals, and business owners since 2008 and has learned that while clients have unique individual circumstances that dictate their approach to investing, everyone wants the same end result - clarity and confidence. Eric's approach seeks first to understand his clients' current situation, concerns, risk tolerance, and financial priorities. He then uses this information to develop comprehensive investment plans and investment recommendations.
Eric is a Certified Financial Planner professional, a Certified Private Wealth Advisor, a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, and a Private Investment Management portfolio manager. The CFP certification identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board and have successfully completed coursework on financial topics in the following areas: general principles of financial strategies, insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, and retirement and estate planning strategies. The Certified Private Wealth Advisor certification is an advanced professional certification for advisors who provide the breadth of specialized skills required to meet the needs of high-net-worth clients. A Certified Exit Planning Advisor focuses on helping business owners build more valuable companies, develop stronger financial plans, and align their personal goals in order to better equip owners for an eventual business transition. Also, Eric has been recognized as one of Georgia's Best-In-State Wealth Advisors by Forbes Magazine 2022-2024. Prior to joining the financial service industry, he attended the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business and earned a BBA in Accounting. He also earned an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology's Sheller College of Business.
