CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid & Narcan Training

Class time:  8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Class Date: Friday, August 15, 2025

This course curriculum is consistent with current 2020 AHA guidelines and meets the requirements of CFR 1910.1030 and CFR 1926.50 (c)

During this course, participants are asked to practice and then demonstrate important skills taught for all three phases of instruction. 

Upon completion all course requirements and demonstrating skills correctly, participants receive a course completion card.  The card is valid for 2 years. 
 
 CPR-AED
This section of the day's instruction provides information on the following:
- chain of survival concepts
- risk factors
- signals for 911 activation
- adult-one rescuer CPR and foreign body airway obstruction
- how to perform high-quality CPR
- how to help someone with a drug overdose emergency
- how to use an AED on an adult

First Aid, including Narcan training
Through video from actual accident scenes, guided discussions, and role play including all participants, everyone will learn signs, symptoms, and treatments of common medical and traumatic emergencies.  This part of the course included invaluable real-world demonstration of ways to provide urgent first aid to someone who is hurt prior to first-responders arriving.

Bloodborne Pathogens
The third segment of the day's curriculum includes definitions, prevention measures, universal precautions, immunization information, exposure control, and post-exposure reporting for incidents involving bloodborne pathogens

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be received in writing at least 7 business days before the training.  In those circumstances, registration fees will be refunded, minus a 10% processing fee.  Cancellation requests received less than 7 business days before training cannot be refunded.  The request must be sent in writing via email to parham@agcga.org

AGC Georgia reserves the right to cancel programs up to 7 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
