About the Course
Many owners and prime contractors require completion of this course prior to working on certain projects.

Through live instruction by seasoned construction professionals, participants will learn how to recognize construction hazards, avoidance, control, and prevention.

Learning Objectives Include:
- Introduction to OSHA
- Managing Safety and Health
- OSHA Focus Four Hazards (Falls, Caught In-between, Struck-by, and Electrical)


- Other Industry Specific Topics, ie. cranes, scaffolds, material handling, and concrete/masonry

Upon successful course completion, attendees receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Course card. The card is issued by the Georgia Tech Outreach Training Institute and is typically available 3-4 weeks after the course concludes.


Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be received in writing at least 7 business days before the training.  In those circumstances, registration fees will be refunded, minus a 10% processing fee.  Cancellation requests received less than 7 business days before training cannot be refunded.  The request must be sent in writing via email to parham@agcga.org


AGC Georgia reserves the right to cancel programs up to 7 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.

Meet Your Instructor: Philip Greisen
Philip is a vice president and senior consultant for PROSAFE Solutions, Inc. and a seasoned safety professional with excellent presentation skills. He is a Certified Industrial Trainer (CIT) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.  Philip is also a certified John Maxwell Leadership Trainer and Coach.
Philip serves as course director and adjunct faculty for several OSHA Training Institute courses at Georgia Tech including the OSHA 510, OSHA 500 (trainer course), OSHA 3015 Excavation and Soil Mechanics course, and the OSHA 502 update course.  He also developed and instructs the EST 7139 Foundations of Safety Leadership course.
He has been employed with PROSAFE Solutions since July of 2000. In addition to providing safety training and consulting services for clients he has been integral in the development and facilitation of the PROSAFE safety culture assessment process.
