Welcome from President Moody

I'm looking forward to a great convention at the Hilton Sandestin, and I hope you, your colleagues and your family will make plans to join us. 

Our golf tournament always gets us started, and this year it will take place at 9:00 am on Thursday, June 9. Make sure you plan your arrival for Wednesday if you plan to play in the tournament. Later on Thursday, we'll reconvene for our Welcome Party. All members and their families are invited. We'll even have dedicated children's activities available. It's going to be casual and FUN!  

All business registrants are invited to gather on Friday morning for our Annual Meeting and ladies who are not attending the business meeting are invited to the Ladies Afternoon Tea. Later this evening, attendees are encouraged to explore the area and have dinner on their own. Young Leadership Program and Executive Alliance members are invited to their respective dinners at the resort on Friday evening.

On Saturday morning, we'll host our award ceremony and recognize the best of the best construction projects built by our member contractors and present corporate safety awards. On Saturday evening, we'll turn up the fun with our closing party. This event will be resort casual.

Business registrants are allowed to attend this presentation during Saturday morning's Awards Program. Registration is required for this event and will be adhered to.

Business Meeting  

On Friday, June 10, AGC Georgia business attendees are invited to the Business Meeting.
This morning's program will begin with the Gavel Exchange ceremony were President Dave Moody will offer his final remarks on his term and Lyndy Jones will be introduced as the 2022-2023 Board President.

Other portions of the Business Meeting will include the following:

  • Review of the state of the association from President Dave Moody, Treasurer Brian Newsome and association CEO, Mike Dunham
  • Recognition of board members with terms ending in June 2022
  • Announcement of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors
  • Recognition of 2022 AGC Georgia sponsoring firms
  • Presentation of the 2022 Volunteer of the Year
  • Presentation of the 2022 Young Leadership Program Member of the Year
  • Recognition of CompTrust AGC Mutual Captive Insurance Company policy holders
  • Farewell from 2020-2022 Chapter President Dave Moody
  • Keynote from AGC of America's Vice President of Governmental Affairs, Jimmy Christianson



Closing Dinner Party presented by

 

All business registrants and social-only registrants are invited to end the convention in a relaxed fun style with a Beach Boys-themed band on Saturday evening generously hosted by Harrison Contracting Company. This event is not open to children or teenagers.

Room Block Information 

Note as of 6:00 pm on March 23:  The Room block is sold out. Please continue to share your wishes to be added to a waitlist by emailing Machell Harper at harper@agcga.org. There will be changes in the registration list between now and the event. We are also working through the current rooming list to find where companies may have more rooms than they have registered individuals. Please also consider looking at the additional properties in the below link.  
NOTE: If you are not a registered attendee, you will not be placed on the room block wait list. Register for Annual Convention and THEN email Machell to be placed on the wait list. She'll share where you fall in line to help give you an idea of whether you want to proceed with alternate plans.

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa
In order to book a room at the our host resort inside the AGC Georgia room block, you will need to book for a minimum of 3 nights. You will also need to be a business and/or social attendee registrant for the conference. Any participant registering a la carte for a single event will not be provided the link to AGC Georgia's room block at the Hilton Sandestin. Once you register as a business and/or social attendee, you'll receive two emails. One email will serve as your receipt for your payment. Another email will contain the link to the room block. Both should arrive within minutes of completing your registration.  Remember, only those registering for the full convention are eligible for our room block and there is a minimum 3-night stay required to book. 

  • Rooms start at $349++.  

If you are not planning to register for the full slate of Annual Convention activities or you're not finding rooms available or to your liking in our Hilton room block, please visit www.sandestin.com to learn about many other options in close proximity to the Hilton. We do not have agreements with these places or know what their availability is from day to day. AGC Georgia is providing this as an alternative for you to consider. You may call 800-622-1038 if you want to discuss options with a booking agent.
NOTE: A property named Luau is in the "Beachside" listings at the above website. It is in walking distance of the Hilton.

AGC Georgia has hired a local photographer to capture memories during the Annual Convention.
