Mark Woodall, AGC Georgia’s Director of Governmental Affairs, is visiting with members across the state to share the good, the bad and the ugly… and how new laws and regulations from the 2018 legislative session affect you and your company.

A core principle of the entire AGC organization is “less government is better.” Our primary legislative agenda is to always play defense against many well-intended proposals that can lead to bad public policy. 

This year’s session was the second of a two-year legislative process, meaning all bills failing to pass this year are no longer eligible for consideration when a new legislature convenes in January 2019. AGC Georgia had a very successful year, providing meaningful input on behalf of the construction industry as we successfully helped push through many pro-construction legislative proposals/ measures. Maybe more importantly, we helped stop of bills that could have negatively impacted the construction industry and business community.
