Results from the 2019 Legislative Session: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Mark Woodall, AGC Georgia’s Director of Governmental Affairs, invites you to join him to learn how new laws and regulations from the 2019 legislative session impact you and your company.  This year’s session was the first of a two-year legislative process, meaning all bills in play this year but not reaching the Governor’s desk for approval are still eligible for consideration when a new session of the General Assembly convenes in January 2020. 

Some of the key legislative proposals AGC Georgia was intimately involved in that made their way to the Governor’s desk for approval this past spring include:
• HB 493 – Private Construction Plan Review and Inspections
• HB 322 – Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) Procurement Registry
• HB 31 – Construction Workforce Development Funding in the 2020 State
               Appropriations Budget

During this discussion, Mark will also use his crystal ball to share thoughts on what industry-related topics will be in the spotlight during the 2020 session.
