About the Course

Falls are the  leading cause of worker fatalities in construction, and the top four OSHA citations are fall-related.  On average, each year, between 150 and 200 workers are killed and more than 100,000 are injured as a result of falls at construction sites.

Employers have a duty to provide fall protection when employees are at risk of falling six feet or more and at least one Fall Protection Competent Person per trade should be identified on a project if their workers are exposed to fall hazards.

The course covers the following topics:
  • OSHA's Subpart M
  • Definitions
  • Safety nets
  • Positioning
  • Warning line systems
  • Safety monitoring systems
  • Scope and application

  • Personal fall arrest systems
