The National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) program is an ongoing effort to provide AGC members from all 95 chapters with an opportunity to evaluate their safety record. The NASA program compares an AGC member’s safety record with other AGC members according to the member size and construction type. Additionally, NASA provides a great opportunity for contractor members who have excellent safety records to compete for national recognition.
All Georgia Branch, AGC contractors with direct-hire, job-site craft labor are eligible to compete in one or more of the following categories: Building, Highway, Associate/Specialty, Heavy, Municipal/Utilities.
Safety awards are given to members who have a zero incident rate or who have an incident rate 25% below each division’s average (divisions: Building, Highway, Heavy/Industrial, Municipal/Utilities and Associate/Specialty).
NOTE: Georgia Branch, AGC members must have participated in the NASA program for three consecutive years in order to be eligible for an award from AGC of America. This means a member must have submitted their company statistics in 2007, 2008 and 2009 to be eligible to receive an award in 2010 from AGC of America. However, the information you provide for the NASA program is used by Georgia Branch, AGC to recognize members in our statewide Safety Awards Program.
