Members Can Benefit from New American Express Partnership

Safeguard your liability while maximizing rewards from your firm's ordinary business expenses

Dear Georgia Branch, AGC Member:

Are you sure your business credit card doesn't hold you personally liable for the balance?

If you have an American Express card with "Business" on the front, it's important to understand you are personally guaranteeing the balance on the card, plus all of your firm's supplemental cards that are affiliated with the Business program.

As you read below, you will learn a few compelling reasons to consider switching to the American Express Corporate Card, such as building and maximizing your company's credit, but perhaps the strongest reason is releasing yourself of personal liability.

I met with American Express representatives, and can attest to the professional level of service you will receive when contacted by them in the coming days as they ask for a moment of your time to educate you on the benefits of this Georgia Branch, AGC member offer.

Our new partnership with the American Express Corporate Card program is available to all qualified* Chapter members and includes a complimentary, corporate expense management consultation.

As an association executive, I receive a dozen calls a month requesting my support of an affinity program. Rarely do I agree to listen to their "pitch," but after meeting with American Express Corporate Card representatives, I recognized the merits of the program, and I'm convinced this opportunity is worthy of your time.

When considering to partner with American Express, I invited representatives to visit with members of the Chapter's Board of Directors and explain the program. Board members also saw the potential value and many have signed up for a Corporate Card account.

As mentioned earlier, in conjunction with relieving yourself of personal liability for card balances, a few more advantages and benefits of the American Express Corporate Card are outlined below:

  1. Gain more protection and control over spending. Protect your company against fraud with corporate liability and personal liability options. Get a complete picture of your spending to help establish and enforce expense policies.

  2. Earn rewards for everyday business spending. Card members enrolled in the Membership-Rewards® program can earn one point for virtually every dollar spent on the Corporate Card. These points have no expiration dates, there is no limit to amount of points you can earn, and they can be redeemed a wide variety of airfare, hotel, car rental, leisure travel, gift certificates and merchandise.

  3. Increase cash flow by using the Corporate Card instead of writing checks, thus increasing your float up to 60 days. The 30-day billing cycle means payment is due 30 days after receipt of the bill.

  4. Achieve hard-dollar savings for your business spending. The Savings at Work Program enables you to receive automatic cash rebates with leading national suppliers like Avis®, Budget®, FedEx, Hilton and Doubletree Hotels®, and many more.

If you have any questions concerning my personal recommendation to
discuss this offer with representatives of the American Express Corporate Card, or you would like to initiate the conversation yourself, please contact me
