Two site safety vans furnished with audio-visual equipment travel the state to bring safety training to a member's jobsite. A broad range of safety topics and audio visual equipment are used to bring an on-site classroom experience to field employees minimizing lost time and interruption of work schedules. Safety topics are selected by superintendents to match site specific training issues and needs.

Each year the Chapter convenes a popular Safety Day Conference designed for construction jobsite personnel and front line supervisors. This conference recognizes outstanding individuals for safety excellence and brings new laws and regulations, best safety practices and education seminars to participants.
-
Two Safety Stand Downs are convened each year where member firms shut down their jobsites all on the same day at the same time for an hour to focus their personnel's attention on the importance of safety. Specific safety themes are selected for each stand down and training materials are developed in both English and Spanish.

A very engaged Safety and Health Committee meets each month at the Chapter headquarters. A broad cross-section of safety professionals, both experienced and new to the role, as well as field personnel meet together with OSHA representatives to tackle safety issues, plan stand downs, and focus on proactive ways to insure a safer workforce.
