What Makes a Great Leader?

There are three questions every person is asking; the key to success for any leader is to know which question is being asked.  Leadership is not forged, and greatness is usually not discovered, during times that are easy.  Leaders step up when others cower.  Leaders make sure they are holding firmly to what they value when pain and difficulty threaten to take them down.  Leaders know setbacks are only for the “moment,” and they get back up, stumbling sometimes, but they get back to their goals as quickly as possible.  Greatness is determined when times are toughest.  The most successful people I have met in the world all have a defining moment they can point to that solidifies their greatness.  In every case, their greatness was determined during a point of failure, frustration or hardship because they knew the right questions.  Once we get to that point of facing our obstacles and knowing which three questions to ask, then we too will begin to discover the real greatness inside each of us.
